Stochastic, Dynamic On-Demand Platforms with Spatial Routing
On-demand platforms with spatial routing subsumes many real-world service systems, e.g., ride hailing, autonomous driving, food delivery, etc. The analysis of such a system is notoriously difficult when the system simultaneously requires stochastic, dynamic control and exact spatial vehicle routing (without stylization). My research strives to provide rigorous analytical frameworks and algorithmic design principles for such spatial service systems through the development of novel analytical methods/arguments that significantly go beyond those in the extant literature.
